AMG GT immobilizer problem

My AMG GT from is having immobilizer issues. It's a gasoline engine. The engine either doesn't start, or starts then dies. There's an error stored. I suspect a key programming issue. Has anyone seen this?

I had something similar on my AMG GT. Does the security light flash? Could be a key signal issue. Does remote start work? If not, it could be the anti-theft system acting up, which might need some key programming.

The security light flashes, but only when it fails. Remote start isn't working. When you say key programming, what did you have to do? Was it a simple fix?

It wasn't something I could fix myself. Since the remote start and security light were both involved, I took it to a workshop. They said the key signal was weak and the anti-theft system needed recalibration through key programming. So, yeah, workshop time.

Thanks for the info! Turns out the key programming was indeed the issue. Cost 45€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
