AMG GT Sunblind Problem
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a problem with the sunblind on a 2023 AMG GT hybrid, which is stuck and displaying an error code. The initial suspicion is a motor failure. A similar issue with a Volvo V90 suggested checking fuses first, but since they were fine, the focus shifted to the motor. The recommended solution is to replace the entire sunblind unit, as individual component replacement is impractical, and a workshop confirmed the motor defect.

Fuses were the first thing I checked; all seem to be in order No strange noises beforehand, it just stopped working one day Given your experience with the Volvo, did you end up replacing the entire sun visor assembly or were you able to source just the motor?

On the Volvo, the motor was integrated into the blind assembly, making replacement of individual components impractical Considering the labor involved in dismantling the system and the potential for further issues, replacing the whole unit was the recommended course of action Given your vehicle, consulting with a workshop is advisable

Thanks for the insight Sounds like I'm facing a similar situation I took it to a trusted workshop, and they confirmed the motor was defective The estimated repair cost, including parts and labor, came out to approximately 330€ They'll replace the entire sunblind unit Appreciate the help

I had a similar problem with the sun visor on my previous Volvo V90 The symptoms sound identical stuck blind, error code Before assuming the motor is faulty, have you checked the relevant fuses? It might be a simple electrical issue Was it making any unusual noises before failing completely?
