AMG GT Windshield Wiper Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Mercedes AMG GT Hybrid has a windshield wiper issue, with a diagnostic scan indicating a potential bad cable or plug. The rain sensor and turn signal still function, suggesting the problem might be with the wiper switch connections on the steering column stalk. A similar issue was resolved by checking and reseating these connections, which could potentially save on repair costs.

When you say wiper switch, do you mean the stalk on the steering column that also controls the turn signal, or is it something else? Where are these connections located? I'm not familiar with the layout.

Yes, I mean the stalk on the steering column that controls the windshield wipers and turn signal. My problem was inside that unit. The connections are behind the steering wheel column cover. Unless you are comfortable disassembling that area, let a workshop handle it.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought it might be the stalk. I'll have the workshop check it. I don't want to cause more problems by doing it myself. Your experience helped a lot.

I had a similar problem with my AMG GT. It was a faulty connection in the wiper switch. The rain sensor worked, which confused me. Check the connections to the wiper motor and switch. Reseating them might help and save money.
