Argo Crankshaft Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Argo with a gasoline engine is experiencing a check engine light, reduced power, poor response, and high fuel consumption. The diagnostic indicates an issue with the crankshaft to camshaft reference value. The problem is likely related to a faulty crankshaft sensor, which can affect engine timing and cause misfiring. The recommended solution is to have the crankshaft sensor checked and potentially replaced at a workshop.

Yes, it is misfiring intermittently. How did you diagnose and resolve the issue?

I didn't diagnose much beyond the code. Googled the symptoms and crank sensor thing, then took it to my mechanic. He confirmed it was the crank sensor, replaced it, and the problem was solved. With those symptoms and a relatively new car, I'd go to a workshop.

Thanks, I'll schedule a workshop appointment to check the crankshaft sensor. It was the Crankshaft sensor; the repair cost 340€.

Sounds familiar! My old Opel Corsa had the same symptoms – check engine light, the works. Turned out to be a dodgy crank sensor that messed with the timing. Is it misfiring?
