Thanks for the info. No recent work done on the cooling system, and the engine temperature seems normal. The error message specifically mentions the temperature sensor in the heat exchanger. Could a faulty AC control unit really cause this, even with a sensor error?

Acknowledged. Indeed, a malfunctioning air conditioning control unit possesses the capacity to generate erroneous temperature sensor readings and precipitate the symptoms you delineated. The control unit serves as the central processing hub for the HVAC system, and any anomalies within its operational parameters may manifest as sensor-related errors. Given the diagnostic information at your disposal, I would suggest that you consult with a certified automotive technician who can perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of the air conditioning control unit's functionality. It is very likely that the defective sensor is a consequence and not the root cause.

Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was indeed the AC control unit. Apparently, a defective unit can cause all sorts of weird sensor errors. The repair cost 980€, which is annoying, but at least it's fixed.

Greetings. While I do not have experience with your specific vehicle model, I encountered a remarkably similar issue with my previous vehicle, a 2018 Volvo XC60. The symptoms you describe, particularly the air conditioning system's failure to initiate coupled with temperature sensor errors, suggest a potential malfunction within the HVAC system's control mechanisms. Could you provide details regarding any recent maintenance or modifications performed on your Arkana's cooling system or related components? Also, has the engine's operating temperature displayed any abnormalities?
