Arkana anti-theft alarm malfunction

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2020 Renault Arkana (gasoline engine). The anti-theft alarm system is malfunctioning. There's an error stored in the memory, and the alarm itself isn't working. I've checked fuses and the battery, but no luck. Any ideas? I suspect the alarm system coded to activate optical locking (indicators) may be the culprit.

I had a similar problem with my Arkana. Sounds like the immobilizer is acting up. Did you recently have any power failures or battery issues? It's like the car thinks someone is trying to steal it, even when they aren't.

Interesting. No recent power failures that I'm aware of. Could a faulty alarm sensor trigger this even without a power surge?

It's possible. A dodgy sensor could send false signals to the alarm control unit. But honestly, without proper diagnostics, you're just guessing. Best bet is to get it hooked up to a proper diagnostic tool at a workshop.

Thanks for the insight! Turns out you were right. Took it to the shop, and the alarm system was indeed coded to activate the optical locking. They recoded it, and it's all sorted now. Cost me 45€ Appreciate the help!
