Arkana fuel consumption starting issues

My 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is giving me some grief. It's got 137616 km on the clock, and lately, the fuel consumption has noticeably increased. Also, it struggles to start sometimes. I'm suspecting the throttle valve might be defective. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Interesting. I have an Arkana too, though I can't remember the exact year, and those symptoms ring a bell. Did you check the accelerator pedal module? Is it possible that it's faulty?

The accelerator pedal module? I hadn't considered that. What makes you think that's the likely culprit?

Well, a defective accelerator pedal module can definitely mess with the throttle valve's operation. It might not be sending the correct signals, which would explain the higher fuel consumption and poor starting. I suggest checking it out or going straight to the workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. The accelerator pedal module was indeed defective. Replacement cost me 205€. Runs like a dream now!
