Arkana fuel flap issue
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Arkana hybrid has a fuel flap that refuses to open, accompanied by an error message and malfunctioning car functions. The issue is likely due to a defective lock actuator or an electrical fault in the release mechanism. While some might consider a DIY fix, a visit to a workshop is recommended to prevent further complications. The problem was confirmed to be the lock actuator, and it was resolved at a garage.

Thanks! No, there's no sound when I try the key fob. Where exactly is this release mechanism located? Is it something I could fix myself, or am I looking at a garage job?

I understand your frustration. Given the lack of sound and the error message, it's likely an electrical fault or a failure in the release mechanism itself. While some might attempt a DIY fix, I would recommend a visit to the workshop. A faulty fuel flap can create further issues. My garage confirmed it's a fairly common problem.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the shop as you suggested, and you were spot on. Turns out it was the lock actuator. Cost me 210€ to get it sorted, but at least it's done. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar problem with my Arkana. Have you checked the release mechanism? It might be a defective lock actuator. Do you hear any noise when you try to open it with the key fob?
