Arkana Hybrid Battery Sensor Issue

Hey! I have an Arkana too. I had similar symptoms last year - weak starts and flickering lights. I also suspected the battery itself, but it turned out to be a faulty sensor. Did you check the sensor connections for corrosion or damage?

Mine was near the negative terminal of the battery. Honestly, I didn't do much diagnosing myself. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the faulty sensor with their diagnostic tools. I have the same issue. Late 2021 edition of Arkana. This is a periodic error at best. But if you can't switch off and leave it for 10 or 15 minutes, it will persist. If you try to drive it, it will drain the battery right down to the last bar and start to lose power with no acceleration. Seems to charge a little when going downhill. I've just popped into the local garage because it literally just happened again and there are no errors in the diagnostic scan.

It sounds like your issue might be related to the alternator or its connections. If the alternator isn't charging the battery properly, it could cause the symptoms you're experiencing.
