Arkana Key Battery Low Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Arkana Hybrid owner experienced a 'key battery low' warning, resulting in non-functional keyless access and erratic locking/unlocking. The issue was suspected to be due to the key fob battery. After replacing the batteries in both key fobs, the problem was resolved, indicating that the low battery was the core issue. However, it was suggested to check for software glitches or receiver issues if the problem persisted.

Yes, the range is noticeably reduced. The spare key exhibits the same behavior. Do you think a simple battery replacement will fix it, or is there potentially a deeper electronic issue at play?

In my case, a new battery solved it. However, given that both keys are acting up, it might be worth having the dealer check for any software glitches or receiver issues before you replace both batteries. It could save you some hassle down the line if it's not just the battery.

Thanks for the advice. I replaced the battery in both keys. That seems to have resolved the issue. Total cost was 37€. I appreciate the suggestion of checking for software glitches, but thankfully a simple fix worked!

I had a similar problem with my Arkana. Is the range reduced? I noticed the keyless entry became unreliable before the warning even popped up. Have you tried the spare key to see if the problem persists?
