Arkana MAF Sensor Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't tried cleaning it yet. Honestly, I'm a bit hesitant to mess with it myself, as I don't want to damage it further. Was cleaning the sensor enough to resolve the issue for you, or did you end up replacing it?

In my case, cleaning didn't do the trick. It improved things slightly for a day or two, but then the problems came back. Considering your mileage, a defective MAF sensor is a strong possibility. To avoid further damage, I'd suggest taking it to a reputable workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They should be able to confirm whether the MAF sensor is indeed faulty and replace it if necessary.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop today, and you were spot on. They confirmed it was a defective MAF sensor. Replacement cost me around 365€, but at least the car is running smoothly again. Appreciate your help!

Interesting. I have an Arkana as well, and I had very similar symptoms not too long ago – increased fuel consumption, rough idling, and the check engine light. Did you by any chance try cleaning the MAF sensor before suspecting it's defective?
