Arkana multifunction steering wheel failure

My 2022 Renault Arkana with a gasoline engine is playing up. The multifunction steering wheel has stopped working. None of the buttons do anything and there's an error logged. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. Anyone else had this?

That sounds suspiciously familiar. I had almost the exact same problem with my Arkana. Is the malfunction indicator lamp illuminated? For me, it felt like all the steering controls just went dead all of a sudden. Have you checked the control module?

Yeah, the malfunction indicator lamp is on. How did you resolve your problem? Also, where did you read out the error codes?

I couldn't resolve it myself. I'd recommend you take it to a workshop, as the steering column may require recalibration. The error memory can be read out with a standard OBD reader. In my case, I took it to a technician. The cable connection was indeed the culprit; they diagnosed it pretty quickly.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll get it booked in. The repair cost will be 95€ according to the workshop.
