Arkana oil pressure warning

Help! My 2023 Renault Arkana hybrid is acting up. The oil pressure warning light keeps flashing, and there's this awful loud mechanical noise coming from the engine. I checked the oil level, and it's fine. I also don't see any signs of oil leakage. Could it be a clogged oil filter or something more serious?

I had a similar issue with my Arkana. The oil pressure gauge was going crazy. Did you recently do an oil change? Sometimes, a bad oil filter can cause low oil pressure. Although, in my case, it wasn't that simple.

No, I haven't done an oil change recently. The last one was about 6 months ago. What was the problem with your Arkana, and how did you fix it?

Turns out, the oil pump was defective. The symptoms were very similar to what you're describing. Given the loud noises, I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop ASAP. It ended up costing me 755€ to repair.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – it was a faulty oil pump. They're replacing it now. Hopefully, this will solve the problem.
