Arkana Power Window Failure

Thanks for the quick reply! No, there's absolutely no sound at all when I press the window switches. Completely silent. Is the window regulator something I could potentially fix myself, or is it a job for the professionals? I'm not very mechanically minded, to be honest.

Okay, the silence is interesting. It could still be the regulator, but with absolutely no sound, the defective power window switch is very likely. Replacing the window regulator involves taking the door panel off and messing with the window track. The switch is a less involved fix. Unless you are very confident, I would recommend getting it to a workshop. In my case, I ended up paying around 200€ for repair of a window regulator, including parts and labor. They will diagnose quickly and fix it for you.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on. The mechanic confirmed it was the window regulator. Said it's a pretty common issue, apparently. Total cost was around 200€ including labor. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar issue with my Renault Arkana (don't remember the exact year). The windows just wouldn't budge. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty window regulator on the driver's side. The regulator is basically the mechanism that moves the window up and down inside the door. Does the motor even try to whir when you press the switch?
