Thank you for your input. Fuses and relays were checked initially; all appear functional. Did your Volvo exhibit similar error codes pertaining to the flap actuator or climate control unit?

Yes, I recall seeing something about a flap motor fault code. It was a while ago, but if I remember correctly, it turned out to be a faulty connection. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with diagnostic capabilities, it can save you a lot of time and nerves. They will be able to pinpoint the exact cause.

Diagnostic check at the workshop confirmed a defective connector. Repair cost amounted to 95€. Thank you for your assistance.

I had a similar problem with my 2018 Volvo XC60. The air distribution to the rear passengers went haywire, and the automatic climate control seemed to be fighting itself. I also suspected a flap actuator issue. Have you checked the relevant fuses and relays? It might be a simple fix before diving deeper into the wiring.
