Arkana rough cold start

Having issues with my 2023 Renault Arkana (gasoline engine). It's got 139163 km on it. Lately, it's been starting really rough when cold. Engine runs very poorly at first, like it's not getting enough fuel. Suspect it could be the cold start injector. Anyone else experienced this?

Summary of the thread

The 2023 Renault Arkana is experiencing rough starts when cold, with the engine running poorly initially, suggesting a fuel delivery issue. The suspected cause is a faulty cold start injector. A similar case confirmed that replacing the cold start injector resolved the problem, leading to smooth engine performance.

I had a similar problem with my Arkana. Symptoms sound identical – struggling to start when cold, rough running until it warms up. Have you checked the fuel delivery? Could be fuel starvation.

Thanks for the reply! When you say fuel delivery, do you mean checking the fuel pump pressure, or something else more specific to the fuel injection system?

Fuel pump pressure is a good start, but given the symptoms and that it's only happening on cold starts, the fuel injector specifically for cold starts is what I'd focus on. I ended up just taking mine to a workshop – diagnosis confirmed it was the injection valve. Good luck!

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on – faulty cold start injector. Repair cost me 515€. Runs perfectly now!
