Arkana Terminal 30 Error

I'm having a strange issue with my 2021 Renault Arkana gasoline. It's got about 86k km on it. I'm getting a 'Terminal 30 continuous plus interrupted' error. The car starts poorly, like the battery is super drained. I've checked the obvious stuff – battery connections seem fine, but could it still be a heavily discharged or defective battery causing this? Anyone else run into this?

I've had something similar with my Arkana. Did you check the circuit breaker and the fuse box? A faulty circuit there could cause weird power draw issues. Is your charging system working correctly, or do you think the battery is not being charged correctly?

Good point! I haven't dug too deep into the fuse box or the circuit breaker yet. Where exactly should I be looking? And how would I test the charging system to see if it's the culprit?

For the fuse box, check the fuses related to the starter motor and charging system first. Regarding the charging system, a multimeter can help you determine if the alternator is properly charging the battery while the engine is running. If you are unsure, I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop before you damage the wiring harness or something else.

Thanks for the insights! I suspected it might be something like that. I ended up taking it to a local shop, and you were right – turns out the battery was heavily discharged and defective. They replaced it, and the charging system seems to be working fine now. Total cost was 290€. Appreciate the help!
