Armada Passenger Seat Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2011 Nissan Armada's passenger electric seat was non-functional, with an error stored in the diagnostics. Initial thoughts were a possible fuse issue or a problem with the seat harness. However, it was suggested that a weak battery might be the cause, as modern car electronics can be sensitive to voltage drops. Replacing the old battery resolved the issue, confirming that the battery was indeed the problem.

Good point! The battery is getting on a bit. About 4 years old, I think. Battery light isn't on, though. But could a weak battery really knock out just one seat and throw an error code? Seems odd, no?

Yes, it does seem odd at first, but modern car electronics are sensitive. A voltage drop during startup or operation might be enough to cause a temporary fault in the seat control module, and it could explain why the error is stored. That being said, it's probably best to get the electronics checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! Turns out you were right - a new battery sorted it. The workshop diagnosed it and, yeah, the old one was dying. Cost me 290€ for the fix. Cheers!

Sounds frustrating! With that mileage, have you checked your battery's health? A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues in these vehicles. Is your battery light on? How old is the battery?
