Armada running rich

Hey, I'm having a frustrating issue with my 2022 Nissan Armada (gasoline engine). It's got about 148,712 km on it, and lately, it feels like it's running WAY too rich. Basically, I think it's getting too much fuel. I've noticed the engine power is way down, the check engine light is on, it's running super rough, my fuel economy has gone down the drain, and it's even jerking a bit when I accelerate. I changed the air filter thinking it might be that, but no luck. I'm wondering if it could be the fuel injectors? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 series. Symptoms were almost identical. Have you checked your spark plugs recently? When was the last time you had them replaced?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the spark plugs yet, to be honest. They're probably due for a change anyway. But could bad spark plugs really cause all those issues, especially the reduced power and bad fuel economy? I mean, it feels like it's getting flooded with fuel, you know?

Yep, I had the exact same feeling. In my case, it ended up being a faulty fuel injector. Given all the symptoms you're describing, especially the check engine light and rough running, I'd say it's definitely worth getting the injectors checked out by a mechanic. Might be time for a visit to the workshop.

Okay, thanks a million for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a defective fuel injector! Got it replaced, and the Armada is running like new again. Cost me about 515€, but it was worth it to get rid of that horrible rich-running problem. Appreciate the help!
