Aslan Air Suspension Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2014 Hyundai Aslan's air suspension failure is causing the car to lean to one side, not lift, and produce a bumpy ride, accompanied by an error message. Possible causes include a defective air suspension bellows valve or an air leak, which can be identified by listening for hissing sounds or using soapy water to spot bubbles. Given the complexity and potential risks of handling air suspension, professional repair is recommended.

Thanks! Yeah, feels exactly like riding on rocks. Where exactly should I be looking for that valve, and how easy is it to spot the leak? Any special tools needed?

The valve is part of the air suspension strut, right above each wheel. If it's leaking, you might hear it, or you could spray some soapy water on it and see if bubbles form. Honestly, messing with air suspension can be tricky, it's like handling a coiled spring – lots of potential energy there. If you're not comfortable, best to take it to a workshop. My valve ended up being defective, and they swapped it out.

Appreciate the advice! I'll check for the leak, but probably best to get it to a shop before I make things worse. I saw a repair estimate for 590€, sounds about right. Thanks again!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Aslan. Does it feel like you're riding on rocks instead of air? Could be the air suspension bellows valve. Check for any hissing sounds near the wheels; that would be a telltale sign of an air leak.
