Yeah, on my Beemer, it was a corroded connector behind the center console, near the blower motor resistor. The resistor regulates the fan speed. Because it's likely the cable or plug connection that's defective, I'd start by checking the connectors to the climate control module itself, and then trace the wiring back towards the HVAC unit. Honestly, though, with those symptoms, especially the error code, you might want to have a workshop take a quick look before you dig too deep. They can pinpoint the exact problem with their diagnostic tools.

They fixed it for 95€, and everything is working perfectly again. Your suggestion to check the wiring harness saved me a lot of time!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW. The climate control went haywire. Have you ruled out any issues with the wiring harness?
