Astra Electric Parking Brake Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall Astra with 21,726 km is experiencing an electronic parking brake malfunction, indicated by a warning light and stored error code. Despite no prior symptoms or unusual noises, the issue may be due to a defective brake calliper motor. The suggested solution is to visit a workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Thanks. There were no unusual noises or other irregularities before the malfunction. Did you have the same symptoms: warning light and error code stored?

Yes, the warning light and error code were exactly the same. Given that there were no prior symptoms, it could indeed be the calliper motor. Unfortunately, you'll likely need to visit a workshop. I ended up having to do that with mine.

I appreciate the confirmation. It seems I have no other choice but to take it in for repair. I will post the outcome.

I have an Astra and had a similar problem, though I'm not sure it's exactly the same. Was there any unusual noise when you engaged or disengaged the parking brake? Did you notice anything else out of the ordinary before it happened?
