Astra MOST Bus Fault

I've got a 2023 Vauxhall Astra, electric engine. Done about 247483 km. Lately, the audio system's completely dead – no sound whatsoever. Sat nav's also conked out. Hooked it up to diagnostics and it's throwing a MOST bus fault. Seems like a control unit on the bus is buggered. Anyone else seen this before?

I seem to recall experiencing something similar some time ago with my Astra. The symptoms you describe, particularly the audio and navigation failure coupled with the MOST bus error, resonate with a problem I encountered. Was there anything unusual in the moments preceding this issue, such as a software installation or electrical work?

No recent software installations, and no electrical work done either. Just happened out of the blue. Did your issue present exactly the same? And did you manage to fix it?

Yes, your description mirrors the problems I had. The absence of any recent modifications further suggests a component failure within the MOST bus network. Unfortunately, diagnosing the specific faulty control unit requires specialized equipment and expertise. I would recommend consulting a qualified technician experienced in automotive bus systems to accurately pinpoint the defect. In my case it turns out to be costly.

Cheers for the advice. Sounds like it's workshop time then. I was hoping it might be a simple fix, but a MOST bus issue definitely seems like something best left to the pros. Looks like I'll be shelling out around 1000€ for this one.
