Astra Oil Pressure Warning

My 2022 Vauxhall Astra Hybrid is showing some odd behaviour. I've got a warning light on the speedometer, and the error memory's logged something. The oil pressure warning lamp is also lighting up intermittently. Mileage is at 25484 km. Suspect a faulty engine oil temperature sensor, probably a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else seen this?

I have an Astra too, though I'm not sure of the exact year offhand. I had similar issues a while back – warning lights galore. Did you check the oil level itself? Low oil can sometimes trigger those sensors to act up. Is the engine running rough or overheating at all?

Oil level is fine, checked it yesterday. The engine seems to be running normally, no rough idling or overheating. Just these annoying lights and the stored error. So your Astra had the same lights for an oil sensor issue?

Yes, that's right. It started with intermittent warnings, just like you describe, then got more frequent. Given yours is a newer model, I'd recommend a diagnostic check at a trusted workshop. Sensors can be finicky, and it's best to get a proper reading.

Thanks for confirming. Took it to the workshop; you were spot on. Faulty oil temperature sensor. Cable connection was indeed the culprit. Repair cost me 95€. Appreciate the help!
