Astra smartphone connection issue

Need some help. My 2022 Vauxhall Astra hybrid is throwing up some weird function restrictions. I can't connect my smartphone and there's an error stored. Ignition system seems fine, no engine light, brakes and suspension feel normal. Anyone else had this?

Hmm, strange one. Is it completely failing to connect, or just intermittent? Have you tried deleting the pairing from both the car and your phone and starting again? Could be a simple glitch.

Yeah, tried deleting the pairing on both ends multiple times. Still nothing. Could it be more than just a glitch? Something with the software?

It's possible. From what you've described, and the fact that a reset hasn't worked, it does point to a deeper issue, possibly software related with the infotainment system. The incorrect pairing can be caused by faulty software. Honestly, at this stage, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. Modern car electronics can be tricky.

Thanks. Took it to the dealer as suggested. Turns out it was an incorrect pairing with the device, like you initially said. Cost me 45€ to get sorted. Annoying, but at least it's fixed.
