Atos sun blind defective

Hi, I have a 2019 Hyundai Atos with a gasoline engine. My sun blind seems to be defective. It no longer retracts or extends properly, gets stuck, and I'm getting an error code. Could the motor be the issue? Mileage is 132836 km.

Summary of the thread

The 2019 Hyundai Atos sun blind is defective, failing to retract or extend properly, and emits a sound likened to a "dying mosquito," suggesting a motor issue. The sun blind is completely jammed, and an error code is present. The recommended solution is to have the motor checked and potentially replaced at a workshop, with an estimated cost of around 330€ for parts and labor.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Atos sun blind. Does it sound like a dying mosquito when you try to use it? It might be the motor, yeah. Is it completely jammed or just struggling?

Yes, that’s exactly the sound! A dying mosquito is a good analogy. It's completely jammed now. Did you manage to fix yours, and if so, how?

Okay, the dying mosquito sound confirms it, unfortunately. Mine ended up being the motor as well. I tried a few things, but honestly, it's buried pretty deep. Unless you're super confident with interiors, I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop. They quoted me around 330€ for parts and labor.

Thanks for the confirmation and the advice. I'll take it to a workshop then. 330€ isn't ideal, but at least I know what to expect. Appreciate the help!
