Thanks for sharing those details about the pressure sensor issue. I had very similar problems, and the repair made a huge difference. The transmission now shifts smoothly, and all warning lights have stayed off. The pressure gauge readings are stable, and the cooling system works perfectly. Have you gotten yours fixed yet? What did the repair end up costing? My total bill was around 350 Euro for the sensor cleaning, new seals, and recalibration. Just wondering if any other issues have come up since your repair, as I have been monitoring my oil cooler performance closely.

Just had the repair done last week, what a relief to have it fixed! The radiator repair specialist confirmed it was indeed the faulty pressure sensor connection causing all those transmission problems. After a thorough leak detection test, they found the issue was much simpler than expected. The final cost was only 95 Euro to clean and fix the cable connection at the pressure gauge assembly. This included applying new sealant and ensuring proper contact. No need for extensive transmission work or radiator coolant system repairs. The cooling fan now operates normally, and the transmission shifts perfectly smooth again. Been monitoring it daily for the past week, zero warning lights and no more emergency mode issues. The repair cost was definitely worth avoiding potential transmission damage. For reference, having the whole sensor replaced would have cost over 300 Euro, so catching the connection issue early saved quite a bit. My recommendation is to always start with checking these connections before assuming larger component failures.

I finally went to get the car checked, and the repair went really well. The mechanic found corroded wiring at the transmission sensor, just like you described. The car overheating warnings disappeared after they cleaned the connections and replaced the seals. The total repair came to 280 Euro, which included cleaning the sensor area, replacing seals, and recalibrating the transmission control unit. The mechanic also performed a full leak detection test on the oil cooler system to ensure there were no other issues. Been driving for two weeks now, and the transmission shifts perfectly. No more warning lights or emergency mode problems. The cooling fan operates normally, and all pressure readings stay consistent. Really glad I checked this forum before agreeing to major transmission work, saved a lot of money and headache. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction with the sensor connection issue. Will definitely keep monitoring the system, but so far everything works exactly as it should.

Had nearly identical issues on my Audi A3 2018 TDI. The symptoms started with transmission warnings and rough shifting, which pointed to the transmission pressure sensor connection. The coolant leak detection system also triggered warnings because the oil cooler and radiator coolant were interconnected in this setup. The root cause turned out to be corroded wiring connectors at the transmission pressure sensor. Water had seeped in through deteriorated seals, causing intermittent signal issues. The cooling fan would sometimes activate unnecessarily because of false readings. This was not a major repair but required careful diagnosis. The mechanic cleaned the connections, replaced the seals, and applied dielectric grease to prevent future corrosion. The transmission control module needed recalibration after the repair. The symptoms match your A1 exactly, multiple warning lights, rough shifting, and emergency mode activation. Would strongly recommend having the pressure sensor connections checked before considering more extensive transmission work.
