Hey, thanks for the reply! That sounds pretty similar to my symptoms. Do you remember approximately how much it cost to replace the EGR valve? And have you experienced anything else since then? Best regards!

Hey, yes, the problem with the EGR valve was probably quite common with our model. In my case, the functional faults in the EGR valve have now been rectified. It cost me a total of €355 to replace the defective and jammed EGR valve. Since then, my A4 has been running perfectly again and no new problems have arisen. Hope this helps you! Best regards!

Hey, thanks for the info! 355 sounds quite a lot, but if it solves the problem, it would probably be worth it. I'll ask the garage about it. Last time I was really disappointed because they obviously didn't diagnose the problem properly. I hope it works better this time and I don't have to go back several times. I'll let you know how it goes! Best regards!

Hey, it may well be that your problem is with the EGR valve. I had a similar case with my 2016 Audi A4 a few months ago. Symptoms such as check engine light, loss of power and rough engine running were all there. Workshop confirmed that the EGR valve was defective and jammed. Had to have the valve replaced, which was a bit more extensive. It was no small job, but the engine ran smoothly again afterwards. Good luck, hope this helps you!
