My 2011 Audi A5 Diesel with 198765km mileage has been experiencing some problems recently: Check engine light is on, the engine just stalls from time to time, it takes longer to start when cold, loses power and runs rough. It also jerks when accelerating and sometimes won't start at all. I suspect it could be the fuel pump. Have any of you had similar problems and can perhaps share your experiences with the garage? Unfortunately, I didn't have such a good experience last time. I would be grateful for any tips!

Hey, it sounds like you're having similar issues to what I had with my 2014 Audi A3. It was actually incorrect software values for the fuel pump that made the engine run rough and caused my starting problems. At the workshop, they reprogrammed the ECC (Engine Control Unit) and updated the software values. This fixed the juddering and starting problems and the engine ran smoothly again. This was no small matter - without the correct software update, the situation could have worsened.
