Last service was at 80000 KM, about 3000 KM ago. Thanks for sharing your experience. In my case, the GPS signal drops completely and never returns. I already tried the system reset multiple times without success. The error code showing is NAV-4402. No modifications were done to the roof or any other car electronics recently. The car GPS module seems to be totally unresponsive even after clearing the error codes. Based on your experience with the GPS antenna repair, I will have the workshop check the antenna connections first before replacing any parts. I hope they can diagnose and fix the satellite reception problem as efficiently as your shop did. The 200 Euro repair cost seems reasonable if it solves the navigation system issues completely.

Thanks for the additional details. The NAV-4402 error code and complete signal loss matches exactly what I experienced with my A5 before the GPS antenna repair. Since your symptoms are identical, total GPS module failure with persistent error codes that wont clear through resets, its highly likely you have the same antenna defect. The fact that no modifications were made and the problem appeared suddenly further supports this diagnosis. In my case, the workshop first tested the GPS antenna connections as a standard diagnostic step, but ultimately found the antenna unit itself had failed. Modern car GPS systems rarely have connection issues unless physically damaged, so a faulty antenna module is the more common culprit. The current repair costs are still around 200-250 Euro for parts and labor. Make sure they verify proper signal reception after replacing the GPS antenna to ensure the navigation system is fully functional. While signal interference can sometimes cause GPS issues, the complete and permanent loss of satellite connection in your case strongly suggests hardware failure, just like what happened with my A5.

The symptoms align perfectly with my GPS antenna problem. My car navigation system wont pick up any satellite connection, shows the NAV-4402 error, and completely lost GPS functionality without any prior warning signs. No amount of system resets helped restore the signal. Since there were no recent modifications to my car electronics or roof area, and the issue appeared suddenly with the same error code you mentioned, it does sound like the same antenna defect you experienced with your A5. I will schedule an appointment with the workshop and have them diagnose the GPS antenna first. The 200-250 Euro repair cost is reasonable if it fixes the navigation system completely. At least now I know what to expect and can avoid unnecessary diagnostic steps. Thanks for confirming the likely cause. Having someone share a similar experience with the same satellite connection problems and repair solution is really helpful. Will update once the workshop checks the GPS antenna and completes the repair.

I faced a similar GPS antenna issue with my 2019 Audi A5. The symptoms were exactly like yours, complete loss of satellite connection and error codes in the system. Initially thought it might be signal interference from aftermarket electronics, but the workshop diagnosed a defective GPS antenna. The antenna had developed a fault causing total signal loss. The repair involved replacing the complete antenna unit and recalibrating the navigation system. Total cost was 200 Euro including parts and labor. The fix restored full satellite connection and GPS functionality. Before suggesting specific solutions, could you share: Whether the GPS stops working completely or comes and goes, If any modifications were made to the roof area recently, Whether the error persists after a system reset, The exact error code showing in your system This would help determine if your A7 has the same antenna problem my A5 had or if its something else causing the navigation issues.
