Thanks for the detailed feedback on the telematics system repair. My issue started right after the latest service at 51176KM. Just to add, I checked and there are no other warning lights active beyond the SOS indicator. The car safety systems and all other electronics appear to be functioning normally. The diagnostic codes point specifically to the emergency call module, similar to what you described. I will have the workshop check the cable connections, as this sounds like a promising lead given your experience with a similar car safety issue. Could you confirm if your repair required any special diagnostic tools, or was it mainly a physical inspection and reconnection of the module?

Thanks for the additional details. My repair was pretty straightforward and sounds very similar to what you are experiencing. Since your issue started after service, this strengthens the likelihood of a loose connection, possibly disturbed during maintenance work. In my case, the workshop mainly performed a physical inspection of the telematics module connections. They used their standard diagnostic tool to read and clear the error codes, but the actual fix was mechanical, securing the loose connector properly. The system reset was performed after the physical repair to clear the malfunction status. A key point: make sure to mention to your workshop that the issue appeared immediately after service. In my repair, no special tools were needed beyond basic diagnostics, and the car safety systems returned to normal operation right after the fix and system reset. If the workshop confirms a similar loose connection in your RSQ3, you might even be able to get this covered under the recent service warranty, since the timing suggests the connection may have been disturbed during that work. Let us know what the workshop finds, would be useful to confirm if your telematics issue has the same root cause as mine.

Thanks for the input. Just got back from the workshop and wanted to close this thread with my outcome. The issue was indeed related to the telematics control module connections, exactly as suggested. The diagnostic codes helped pinpoint the exact location. The technician found a connector that had worked loose during the recent service work. After securing the connection and performing a system reset, the SOS signal warning disappeared immediately. The emergency call system is now functioning correctly. Total cost was 85 Euro, but they waived it since it was related to the recent service work. For anyone searching with similar issues: definitely check the connections first, especially after service work. The car safety systems are sensitive to even slightly loose connections in the emergency call module. Thanks again for the helpful diagnostic advice, saved me time and potentially unnecessary repairs.

I had a similar telematics system call failure on my 2021 RS3. Given some experience with modern automotive electronics, I can share what worked in my case. The issue showed identical symptoms, SOS warning light and emergency call system error messages. After initial troubleshooting, my workshop found it was related to a faulty cable connection to the telematics control module. The malfunction was caused by a loose plug that had worked its way free over time. The repair involved reconnecting and securing the cable properly, plus a system reset. Total cost was 95 Euro for diagnostic work and repair. Since then, no more SOS signal issues or warning messages. For a more specific diagnosis of your RSQ3, could you share: When did the problem first appear? Are there any other warning lights active? Have you noticed any issues with other electronic systems? Did you recently have any work done on the car? This information would help determine if your issue matches what I experienced or if it might be something different in the emergency call system.
