Audi TT 2016: Unsteady engine, black smoke and starting difficulties

Hello everyone, I have recently started having some problems with my 2016 Audi TT, gasoline engine. The car no longer pulls properly, the engine runs erratically and twitches when accelerating, black smoke comes out of the exhaust. Before that, it sometimes took longer to start, the car sometimes won't start or dies at idle. The whole thing is accompanied by the check engine light. I suspect it could be a mixture preparation error. Have you had similar experiences and can you give me any tips on how to rectify the problem? How did your garage solve the problem and what were your experiences? Thanks in advance!

Since you've already checked for leaks and replaced several parts, the next step could be to inspect the fuel system. The error code P017100 indicates that the fuel mixture is too lean, which could be due to a faulty fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, or fuel injectors. I recommend having these components checked by a professional, as this involves dealing with high pressure fuel. Please keep us updated on your progress.

Hello, thanks for the feedback! I have already checked the fuel system extensively, including the fuel pump, the pressure regulator and the injectors, but could not find any abnormalities. The error persists. Are there any other possible causes that I could investigate? Thank you very much for your support!

Since you've already checked the fuel system and found no issues, another possible cause could be a faulty Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM controls the air-fuel mixture and if it's not functioning properly, it could lead to the issues you're experiencing. However, diagnosing a faulty ECM can be complex and should be done by a professional. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection. Please keep us updated on your progress.
