Thanks for checking my previous starter motor issue. Just wanted to update that I had my latest service at 139843 KM. The mechanic found the automatic restart system was indeed malfunctioning due to a faulty car battery sensor. The eco mode feature was actually making things worse by forcing unnecessary engine restarts. After replacing the battery sensor and running a full diagnostic, the engine stalling completely stopped. The total repair came to 180 Euro, which was less than expected. The battery issue turned out to be much simpler than initially feared. No more warning lights or unexpected shutdowns since the fix.

Good to hear the battery sensor replacement resolved your issues. That 180 Euro repair cost is definitely better than what I paid for my TTS battery problems. The car battery sensor seems to be a common weak point in these models, especially when combined with frequent start-stop system activation. My mechanic mentioned these sensors can get confused by voltage fluctuations, triggering false engine stalling incidents. Since the fix, have you noticed any improvement in how the eco mode and automatic restart features work? On my TTS, the start-stop system became much more reliable after addressing the battery issues. The engine stalling completely stopped, and the warning lights never came back. Just keep monitoring your start-stop system performance over the next few weeks. If you notice any hesitation during automatic restart, get it checked early before more serious problems develop. These preventive checks helped me avoid additional issues with my TTS.

Thanks for following up on the earlier diagnostic suggestions. The repair at 139843 KM identified the root cause perfectly, a malfunctioning battery sensor affecting the start-stop system. The eco mode was definitely complicating things by triggering unnecessary engine starts. The 180 Euro repair cost was a relief, especially since replacing the battery sensor and running diagnostics completely resolved the engine stalling. No more warning lights or unexpected shutdowns during drives. Since fixing the battery sensor, the start-stop system now operates smoothly. The hybrid vehicle features like eco mode work as intended without causing any engine start problems. Its reassuring that monitoring the starter motor performance helped catch this issue before it led to more expensive repairs. This experience shows how seemingly major engine problems can sometimes have relatively simple electrical causes. Regular checks of the idle stop system components will help prevent similar issues in the future.

Had similar issues with my 2015 Audi TTS after 3 years of ownership. As someone with some car repair experience, these symptoms immediately pointed to car battery problems. The car would stall unexpectedly, and the start-stop system began malfunctioning. The starter motor would occasionally struggle, especially during cold starts. After multiple failed engine start attempts, I took it to a workshop. Diagnosis revealed a heavily discharged battery that was no longer holding proper charge. The constant drain from modern electronics combined with frequent start-stop system activation had worn the battery down prematurely. Total repair cost was 290 Euro including: New AGM battery, Battery registration, System diagnostic check Since the replacement, no more stalling issues and the start-stop system works perfectly again. The workshop also checked the alternator to ensure it wasnt causing the drainage. Before suggesting specific solutions for your TT, could you share: Current mileage, How long youve owned the car, When battery issues started, Whether start-stop system issues began before or after the stalling, Any other electrical issues noticed This information would help determine if youre facing similar battery problems or if theres another underlying cause.
