Auris hybrid engine misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Toyota Auris hybrid experienced engine misfiring, rough idling, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power, with the check engine light activated. The initial suspicion was a defective injector. After checking spark plugs and ignition coils, which were in good condition, the issue was confirmed to be a faulty injector. Replacing the injector resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

Thanks for the insight! Spark plugs and ignition coils were the first things I checked, and they seem to be in good condition. I'm leaning towards a fuel delivery issue. Did your issue eventually point to a fuel injector problem, or was it something else entirely?

Turns out, one of my injectors was indeed faulty. After some diagnostics at the workshop, they confirmed it was causing the misfires. Replacing the injector fixed the problem completely. Definitely get it checked by a professional. It's like trying to diagnose a heart problem yourself best to leave it to the experts. The repair cost me 515€.

Interesting. I've got an Auris too, though not a hybrid. I had similar symptoms a while back engine misfiring, check engine light, the whole shebang. It felt like the engine was hesitating, especially when trying to overtake. Have you checked the spark plugs or ignition coils? Those are relatively easy to inspect and replace, like checking the oil level.
