Auris Hybrid Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue

My 2015 Toyota Auris hybrid with 171913 km is showing a check engine light, reduced power and response, and increased fuel consumption. Diagnostics point to the manifold pressure sensor circuit. Could a vacuum leak be the cause?

Sounds familiar. I've got an Auris hybrid too. Those symptoms scream manifold pressure sensor to me. Did you check for any obvious cracks or loose connections in the vacuum lines? Is the sensor itself visibly damaged?

I visually inspected the vacuum lines and connectors, and nothing stands out. If the sensor is the problem, is sensor replacement something I can do myself with standard tools?

Honestly, whilst you might be able to replace it yourself, is it worth the risk? I ended up taking mine to a workshop. They confirmed the sensor was faulty due to a large vacuum leak and replaced it. Saved me a headache in the long run.

I appreciate your guidance. I'll take it to a qualified technician. The repair cost, including sensor replacement and labor, is estimated at 235€.
