Auris parking aid fault

I had a similar issue with my Auris, also petrol. My parking sensors went haywire. Were yours working intermittently before failing completely, or did they just stop suddenly?

Mine just stopped suddenly. No warning signs or intermittent issues beforehand. Did you manage to fix yours, and if so, what was the culprit?

Mine was a sudden stop too. After poking around, I took it to a workshop. They said it was a damaged wire in the bumper, probably from a small bump I didn't even notice. Replacing the wiring loom sorted it. Sounds like you're on the right track with your initial diagnosis.

I'll check the wiring and connections. If that doesn't work, I'll book it into a workshop. They quoted me around 95€ to fix it, so I hope it resolves the issue.
