Avalon rough running reduced power

My 2007 Toyota Avalon with a gas engine is running like total garbage. Only 24191 km on the clock! I'm getting reduced power, the check engine light is on, it runs rough, drinks fuel like crazy, and jerks when I accelerate. I'm pretty sure it's running way too rich. Could it be the injectors?

I had similar problems with my Avalon. Check engine light, rough running, terrible gas mileage... felt like I was driving a tractor. Could be a bad injector alright.

Did you have the same symptoms exactly? And what fixed it in the end?

Yep, pretty much the same. Jerky acceleration too. I tried a few things myself but eventually just took it to a shop. Turned out to be a defective injector. They replaced it and it runs like new.

I suspected as much. Guess I'll bite the bullet and get it to the shop. Injector replacement...ouch. Final bill came to 515€, but at least she's running smooth now!
