Avancier black smoke exhaust sensor
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Honda Avancier with a gasoline engine exhibited a warning light and black smoke from the exhaust. The issue was suspected to be related to the exhaust back pressure sensor, especially since the engine was running normally otherwise. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, it was confirmed that the exhaust back pressure sensor was indeed the problem, and replacing it resolved the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The smoke is definitely black, and the engine seems to be running normally, no rough idling or anything like that. So you think it could be the exhaust back pressure sensor? Did yours also only appear under acceleration?

Yep, black smoke and warning light sounds very familiar. It turned out to be the exhaust back pressure sensor. If it's the same for you, you will have to get it changed; I would suggest going to a workshop.

I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be exactly what you said - the exhaust back pressure sensor. The auto repair cost me 245€, but at least it's sorted now!

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Avancier. Is the smoke black or more of a grayish color? Does the engine seem to be running rough, or is it mostly just the smoke and light?
