Avantime central locking malfunction

My 2001 Avantime with a gasoline engine has a central locking issue at 80578 km. The doors won't lock or unlock with the remote or interior switch. An error points to a defective cable or plug. Anyone seen this? Besides the fuse box, what should I check? Trying to see if I can fix it myself.

I had something similar on my Avantime. Check the wiring loom where it passes from the body to the door. They're known to get brittle and break. Did you check the keyless entry receiver module?

Where is the keyless entry receiver module located? Is it easy to get to, or do I need special tools?

It's been a while, but I seem to remember it being a pain. Honestly, after fiddling with it for an afternoon, I took it to a workshop. They sorted it quickly. Might be worth the 95€ to save the hassle.
