Avantime driver seat massage not working

I am experiencing an issue with my 2001 Renault Avantime (gasoline engine). The massage function on the driver's seat is not working. I have checked the error memory, and there is a stored error related to this. The massage function cannot be switched on at all. The car has 166543 km. Has anyone encountered this before?

Hey, sounds like a bummer! Does the seat motor work otherwise? Maybe it's just the switch for the massage setting that's gone bad?

Thanks for the suggestion. The seat motor itself seems to be functioning normally, all other seat adjustments work fine. Is a switch failure a common problem on these?

Well, it's hard to say 'common,' but switch failures do happen. Given the age, the cable or plug connection of the component is most likely defective. If you don't find anything obvious, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop.

Thank you for your advice. I had the car checked, and it was indeed a defective connector. The repair cost 95€. All is working fine now.
