Avensis Undervoltage Issue

My 2009 Toyota Avensis with a gasoline engine has an undervoltage issue. The car starts poorly, and I've seen intermittent system failures. The lights flicker, and the battery seems weak when starting, even though the car only has 40794 km. I suspect a defective battery, but could a faulty battery terminal also cause this?

I have a similar issue with my Avensis, including weak starts and flickering lights. Have you checked the voltage drop across the battery terminals when starting? It might indicate a problem with the battery's health or the alternator. I would also check the power supply.

I also had some intermittent system failures. I never got around to troubleshooting myself. I brought it to a workshop, and they found the battery was defective. I recommend you do the same.
