Aveo sound system failure

My 2006 Chevy Aveo diesel's sound system has totally died. Nothing comes out of the speakers, and there's some kind of error stored in the car's memory. I checked the fuses, and they seem ok. Anyone else had this issue?

Yeah, the display still lights up and I can see the stations, but no sound at all, not even static. The dashboard controls seem to work, like I can change the station or try to turn up the volume, but still silence. What was the issue with yours?
