Avventura Coolant Loss
Summary of the thread
The 2014 Fiat Avventura is experiencing coolant loss, triggering the check engine light with a low coolant error on the OBD scanner. Potential causes include a coolant leak, a faulty water pump, or overheating issues. Suggestions include checking the cooling fan, inspecting for leaks around the radiator and hoses, and considering a pressure test at a garage to identify any small leaks, such as in a hose, which can be repaired to resolve the issue.

Good shout! I'll check the fan. Was low coolant triggering the check engine light for you too? Did you find the leak yourself, or take it to a shop?

Yep, low coolant set off the check engine light. Topping it up made the light go away temporarily, suggesting a leak. I couldn't find it myself. I'd suggest having the water pump checked. The garage pressure tested and found a tiny hose leak. A new hose fixed it.

Thanks! Looks like I'll take it in. The repair was 52€. At least I know what to expect now. Cheers!

I had a similar issue with my Avventura. Is your cooling fan working? Check for leaks around the radiator hoses or the radiator itself. Sometimes it's a small leak.
