Aygo AC failure

Hey, I'm having a nightmare with my 2006 Toyota Aygo diesel. The AC has totally given up. It's not blowing cold at all, and it doesn't even seem to be switching on. I've checked the obvious things like fuses, but no luck. Anyone else had this? Could it be something like a faulty pressure switch?

I had something similar on my Aygo. Does it make any weird noises when you turn it on, or just nothing at all? Could be a dodgy blower motor or something. Did you check the AC compressor clutch?

No weird noises that I can hear. How did you fix your AC problem in the end? Was it expensive? I'm not really sure where to start looking for the AC compressor clutch...

Mine was a right pain! Honestly, in the end, I had to take it to a garage. Turns out, it was a valve inside the AC system itself. They said it's not uncommon. Cost me a bomb! But it's working great now. Workshop is your best bet!

Thanks a lot for the advice! Sounds like I'm heading to the garage then. Probably best to leave it to the professionals. I'll post the results. It turned out that some valves within the air conditioning system were faulty and had to be replaced. The bill came to around 1000€.

Can I know the cost you incurred? Thank you

The cost was around 1000€ for replacing faulty valves within the air conditioning system. If you have any further questions or need advice on a similar issue, feel free to ask!

How much did it cost, if you don't mind me asking?

If you're experiencing similar issues with your AC, start by checking if the AC compressor clutch is engaging when you turn on the AC. You can do this by listening for a click or visually inspecting the compressor to see if the clutch is spinning. If it's not engaging, it could be an electrical issue or a problem with the clutch itself. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!
