Aygo Blower Motor AUC Sensor Issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2017 Toyota Aygo (gasoline engine). My blower motor suddenly stopped working. I've been digging around online, and I think it might be related to the AUC sensor – the cabin air quality sensor. Does anyone have experience with this? I saw a video about similar problems with BMWs. I checked the fuses, and they look fine. Could a faulty AUC sensor really kill the whole blower motor? It's like the sensor is sending a 'stop' signal for some reason.

I had a similar problem with my Aygo. It drove me nuts! The blower would just randomly quit. I remember reading somewhere that the AUC sensor, or odor sensor whatever you want to call it, on these cars is super sensitive. It's like it has the sniffles and throws a fit, shutting down the whole ventilation system as a 'precaution'. Did you try wiggling the connector to the sensor? It might just be a bad connection.

Interesting! Thanks for the reply. Wiggling the connector, huh? Where exactly is the AUC sensor located in the Aygo? Is it easy to get to? I don't want to start tearing apart the dashboard if it's buried deep inside. Also, did your issue definitely turn out to be the AUC sensor, or did you have to replace other stuff too?

Yeah, mine was the AUC sensor connector. It's usually located near the air intake, often behind the glove box or around the base of the windshield on the inside. It's like a small black box with a plug going into it. Honestly, after fiddling with the connector, it worked for a bit, but the problem came back. I ended up taking it to a workshop. It turned out to be a faulty connection, as I suspected, and they re-pinned the connector. I'd suggest getting it checked by a professional if you can't fix it yourself.

Okay, great, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. They confirmed it was a defective cable/plug connection at the AUC sensor, just like you said. They fixed it for 95€, and the blower is working perfectly now. I really appreciate your help!
