Aygo power window failure

My 2007 Toyota Aygo with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. The power windows suddenly stopped working after I replaced the car battery. Now, neither window will budge, and there's an error stored in the ECU. I suspect it's a window regulator initialization issue. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Toyota Yaris. After replacing the battery, the window controls went haywire, like a computer losing its settings. Did you try any reset procedures, like holding the window switch up for a few seconds?

Yes, I tried holding the switch up and down for extended periods, as I've seen suggested online. Unfortunately, no luck – still completely unresponsive. Is there a specific procedure you followed on your Yaris that might be different?

I remember struggling with it as well. Unfortunately, the 'holding the switch' trick didn't work for me either. In the end I had to bring mine to the repair shop. Probably the best thing to do unless you're comfortable digging into the electronics. Cost me around 290€ to sort.

Sounds like I'm facing the same fate. I'll book it in with a local garage then. Your experience has saved me a lot of time and further frustration!
