B Klasse Parking Aid Problem

Has anyone experienced a parking aid fault on a 2021 Mercedes B Klasse with a gasoline engine at 291096 km? The parking assist is completely dead, and the error memory confirms it. I suspect a faulty cable or connector. Any similar issues with the rearview camera, obstacle detection, or radar sensors? Is 95€ a reasonable price for this kind of repair?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Mercedes B Klasse experienced a complete failure of the parking aid system, confirmed by error memory. The suspected causes included a faulty cable or connector, with additional concerns about the rearview camera and sensors. Suggestions included checking the control module and fuses, particularly if recent work might have disturbed the wiring. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connector on a sensor, costing 90€.

I had a similar issue on my B Klasse where the parking assist went completely bonkers. First, check the control module, as it could be a simple fuse issue. Also, has there been any recent work done on the car that might have disturbed the wiring to the parking sensors?

Good call on the control module and fuse. I will check that. As for recent work, nothing major, just routine servicing. When you say 'bonkers,' do you mean completely non-functional, like mine, or just intermittent errors? Also, where is the control module located exactly?

Yeah, 'bonkers' meant totally dead – no parking assist at all. The rearview camera was also affected, making reversing a nightmare. The control module location can vary slightly, but it's usually behind the trim in the trunk, near the spare tire well. If it's not a fuse, and you're not comfortable with wiring, I'd take it to a workshop. It could save a bigger headache later.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the fuse box and the radar sensors but nothing obvious. I ended up taking it to a shop as suggested. It turns out it was a corroded connector on one of the sensors, just like I thought. 90€ and it's fixed. I appreciate the help!
