Barchetta Air Suspension Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Fiat Barchetta is experiencing air suspension failure, causing the car to sit low, lean, and produce error codes, resulting in a bumpy ride. The suspected cause is a defective air suspension bellows valve. A similar issue was resolved by identifying a defective suspension air bag valve, which required professional repair. The suggested solution is to inspect for air leaks and, if unresolved, seek professional assistance to confirm and fix the problem.

Thanks! I did a quick visual inspection, but didn't spot anything obvious. Was your problem constant, or intermittent at first? Any specific areas I should focus on when hunting for this air leak? Did you also see an error message?

Mine was constant. One morning, just flat. If you can't find the leak yourself, save yourself the headache and take it to a workshop. I ended up chasing ghosts for a week. They confirmed it was the suspension air bag valve defective. Cost me 590€ to sort.

Cheers for the advice! Sounds like I'm heading for the same fate. I'll have another look for a leak, but I suspect a trip to the mechanic is inevitable. At least I know what to expect.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my Barchetta. Vehicle couldn't lift, same leaning problem. Have you checked for any obvious signs of an air leak around the shock absorber?
