Barchetta Fault Memory Lock
Summary of the thread
The issue involves a fault memory lock on a 2004 Fiat Barchetta, potentially caused by undervoltage. The problem manifests as an error stored in the memory, possibly due to an ECU malfunction or power supply issues affecting the CAN bus. A full diagnostic scan at a workshop is recommended to identify the specific cause and resolve the issue.

When you had a similar issue, did the diagnostic scan specifically indicate undervoltage, or were there other error codes along with the memory lock?

Undervoltage wasn't explicitly flagged, but there were a bunch of weird, unrelated errors all at once. The mechanic figured it was the ECU getting scrambled. Best to get it hooked up to a proper diagnostic tool at a workshop.

I'll consult with a workshop for ECU diagnostics. I'm expecting around 240€ for the repairs.

Sounds like an ECU hiccup. Have you run a full diagnostic scan? What codes are popping up? Could be a dodgy sensor, or maybe it's something to do with the power supply affecting the CAN bus.
