Barchetta power loss whistling sound

My 2002 Fiat Barchetta (gasoline engine) is having issues. The check engine light is on, engine power is way down, and response is poor. I also hear whistling and hissing when I accelerate. Sometimes it stalls at idle, and fuel consumption is up. Could it be the boost pressure actuator?

I had a similar problem with my Barchetta. Check your electrical bypass valve. The symptoms sound familiar. Does it happen often?

Yes, that's it. In my case, the electrical bypass valve was defective. I'd recommend taking it to a shop to get it checked. It could be related to the turbo system.
